Farewell My Friends

Yesterday was my official, bonafide farewell. And also the biggest surprise of my life.

*flashback to Sunday, July 27th, 2014. 8:58 AM*

I am perusing the crowd of people attending the Manette Ward this morning. It is so comforting to see familiar faces of those who have come to support me and hear me speak.

THEN...

WAIT HALF A DARN MINUTE IS THAT BEKAH BOYD?!?!

My fantastic roommate from my freshman year at BYU came for my farewell! And now I'm crying!

*back to present*

Literally though, it was awesome. It was the most perfect thing anyone could do. That simple act made my farewell absolutely wonderful.

Good times.

Complete with photo shoot.

Showed Beks the sights. AKA the Puget Sound.

Complete with real baby crabs.

And fake rocks. Woah, that felt real.

She's in love with Seattle. As she should be.

In addition to that, there was such a terrific outpouring of love from my friends and family. And now I am so excited to go out and serve the Lord and the people of Boston!

I am so grateful for this opportunity that I have to share something I love with my whole heart and soul. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church on this earth. There is no better feeling than drawing nearer to God and assisting others in the process. In addition, I will be learning the Spanish language, and I know that I will be praying for the gift of tongues every. single. day. I am so humbled that God trusts me to teach and love his children. It is so amazing.

Brace yourselves for the next 18 months of weekly letters and updates. It will be the wildest of rides.

And hey, if you feel so inclined, shoot me an email every once and a while.

Con muchisimo amor,

Hermana Frei
